Draft. A- Tequila, subtle lime. A- Gold color, clear liquid, white head. T- Tequila, lemon, lime. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- The tequila overpowers the entire beer but it's still better than the regular Ophelia. Somehow it doesn't taste boozy either. Not bad.

Bottle from Green Mountain Liquors. Hazy golden pour, soft, bubbly head. Aroma favors the tequila barrel aging, definitive notes. Taste brings in the wheat elements, bready, body seems light. Fades pretty fast, dies on the palate Starts well, and then fades into oblivion.

Sample at the OTR Beerfest during Cincinnati Beer Week. Hazy amber-gold color with a medium white head that diminishes quickly to an outer ring. Stings of lace. Wheat, fruit and oak in the nose. Medium body with flavors of grassy wheat, ripe fruit and tequila wood. The finish is fruity with a subtle tequila aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle: Cloudy, dirty gold with a small white head. Wheat, lime aroma. Taste is sweet, creamy wheat malt, banana, lime......a very slight tequila aspect. Not bad, but rather bland.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass; no bottle dating, but is a recent release. Pours lightly hazy orange/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Light spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of big lemon, orange, apricot, citrus zest, white grape, honey, agave, vanilla, oak, tequila, wheat, biscuit, light pine/grass, and herbal/oak earthiness. Very nice aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/fruity hops, tequila barrel, and moderate pale malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of big lemon, orange, apricot, citrus zest, white grape, honey, agave, vanilla, oak, tequila, wheat, biscuit, light pine/grass, and herbal/oak earthiness. Light pine/grassy bitterness and oak spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of lemon, orange, apricot, honey, agave, vanilla, oak, wheat, biscuit, and herbal/oak earthiness on the finish for a while. Damn nice complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, tequila barrel, and moderate malt sweetness; with a nice malt/bitter/oak spice balance and zero cloying sweetness after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/silky, and slightly slick mouthfeel that is great. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a slight warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a damn nice barrel aged hoppy wheat ale. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity hops, tequila barrel, and moderate pale malt sweetness; and very smooth and easy to drink with the modest ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Bomber from Beer Run. Hazy orange, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of strong tequila, wheat, apples, wood, caramel, yeast. The taste is wood, tequila, earth, wheat, spice, doughy. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry. Solid.
