Bottle share in the hotel lobby, RBWG, 01/02/16. Light chestnut brown topped with a decent beige cap. Nose is candied fruit peel, spruce, bitter orange, toasted grain, light spice and hop presence. Taste comprises grain, rye bread, citric tinged straw, bitter orange, tropical fruit esters, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough offering but wouldn’t have classed this a saison ... more rye IPA/spec grain territory,

(Thanks, Shawn! "macboost") Bottle. A- Rye bread, caramel, molasses, grapes, dark fruits. A- Mahogany color, clear liquid, beige head. T- Caramel, grape, dark fruits, malty, slightly bitter, black pepper, rye bread. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, O- Different than any saison I’ve ever had. Decent enough but didn’t wow me by any means. A unique blend of flavors. Almost like a blend of a saison and a barleywine. Tastes a lot heavier than it is.

On draught at House Wine. The beer pours a hazy mahogany-brown color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily. Strings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, yeast and rye. Light to medium body with flavors of rye malt, citrus, earthy yeast and hops. The finish is spicy rye and yeast. Above average overall.

Sample at Bob’s Bar during the "Boulevard Brewing Night" on 01/27/2016. The beer is a murky reddish-brown color with a medium thin off-white head that diminishes quickly to a wispy film. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of fruit, rye and yeast. Medium body with flavors of rye malt, earthy yeast and fruit. The finish is mildly spicy rye and yeast. Pretty good overall.
