IBU 85 ABV 6.2% This hybrid American ale features a hearty quantity of pale malt and a massive dose of US-grown Cascade and Centennial hops. The resulting ale is a rich golden color and light-bodied, yet has a huge citrus aroma and is extremely bitter. For the true hopheads out there: it's our own Alpha Acid Test.

Draft. Orange malt and grapefruit peel aroma. Medium yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange malt and moderately bitter grapefruit peel flavor. Good body. Solid but pretty standard.

Tap at Lafayette. Hazy green tinged yellow body. Foamy white head laces the glass. Dry, strawy hops. The aroma isn’t that impressive, like they use old school brewpub ringwood yeast, maybe open fermentation? English feel with a hint of diacetyl, but respectable hop bill.

draft sample at Mad Anthony Oktobeerfest - Pours golden amd mostly clear with some lacing from the white head. The aroma is mainly citrus hops and one would expect from Cascade and Centennial. It tastes mainly of bittering hops. There’s enough body to make that pleasant though I expected more complexity from those hop varieties. It’s mainly just bitter tasting. I’m not getting much in the way of citrus, floral, or other notes. Fairly good, but I may sample and rate this one again when I get the chance.

on tap-pours a white ring for a head and cloudy yellow color. Aroma is slightly sweet citrus-grapefruit/pine hops, medium malt = 0 . Taste is slightly sweet citrus-grapefruit/pine hops, slight light/medium malt. Nice. Mild carbonation.

Clear light gold body under a fleeting white head. Subdued citrus aroma. The flavor is balanced towrds the bitter. The malt is there, but plays a distant fiddle. Bitter, dry finish. A bit thin and needs a bit more malt balance, but not bad by any means.

Draft at LBC. Heh, heh, heh! Fool your swill-drinking friends with this one! Suprisingly pale; in fact it looks just like a Budweiser. But that just makes the hops seem a little bit bigger. C&C hops are a big surprise in the nose, then in tasting. Good ol’ pine, pineapple & grapefruit, but none of the extreme flavors from an overhopped brew. Lip-puckering, but easy drinking at the same time!
