Pour is a black with a huge tan head. Aroma is a nice mix of cocoa and char malt. Flavor is more of the nice char malt and a little watery after that. Finish leaves a nice burnt roasted malt on the tongue. This is a pretty decent porter.

Bottle. Chocolate malt and wood ash aroma. Black brown with moderate tan head. Sweet cocoa, coffee, roasted barley malt and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Nice body. Solid.

Bottle: Pours black with a huge, cascading, brown head. Aroma of cola, cocoa, dark orange.... Taste is sweet, very creamy cocoa/chocolate malt. Roasty, almost smoky coffee malt...vanilla, cream. Smooth, sweet. Very nice....file this under "Dessert".

Bottle from the Beer Store Nashua Solid dark drown with faint garnet highlights at the edges topped with a huge frothy foamy mocha head that persists forever. Fudge, chocolate, caramel light vanilla with a hint of earthy hop and a light fruitiness. Rich cocoa flavor with lots of caramel and toffee with a light amount of dark pitted fruit and an earthy hop bite. Medium body with a light to moderate level of carbonation and a creamy silky smooth mouthfeel. Its an odd combination of flavors for a Porter and it kind of works although it does seem a bit sweet at times.

Pours black with a big head of tan foam. I smell some coffee, cocoa, and fruity citrus. Same with the taste. I think the citrus kind of clashes with the other flavours, no, more like detracts. Good mouthfeel. Not a favourite.
