The rebirth of an original, a rebellion against what was and is no longer. Brewed with Galaxy, Citra and Columbus Hops partnered with an inconspicuously mild malt profile, Insurrection is a Double IPA brewed to stealthily assault the palate with dry, citrusy, dank flavors and just a hint of sweetness on the back end.

Super hazy amber coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of malt, biscuits, earth, apples, peaches, alcohol and a bit of funk - interesting. Medium-bodied; Strong rich biscuity malt flavour with a lot of alcohol and only a dash of hops, not too much, but more syrup than anything else. Aftertaste is quite mediocre with the malt coming through, some light fruits, a touch of grass and some very light hops as well. Overall, a decent beer at best - this one seems past it’s prime, but with the character, doesn’t seem like it ever would have been great. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Lueken’s Liqour in Dunedin, Florida on 03-October-2015 for the bargain price of US$5,99 sampled at home in Washington on 22-December-2015.

Bottle: Pours clear, dark brown with a soapy, off-white head. Dark, baked bread aroma. Taste is orange-tea, dark bread and fruit. Rich and malty with a bit of spicy warmth. A steady, earthy and peel bitterness. Pretty good.

Bottle. Earthy orange malt and grapefruit peel aroma. Hazy golden yellow with small head. Moderately bitter earthy grapefruit peel and sweet tangerine malt flavor. Good - nice earthiness.
