Hop’n Mad Apple’s bright, juicy apple flavor is complemented by floral notes from the Strisselspalt hops and tropical notes from the Galaxy hops. These hops are added to the cider post-fermentation, a process known as “dry hopping” in craft beer, giving it a fresh hop aroma and pleasant dry finish, without the bitterness.

Bottle. Apple juice and light hay aroma. Medium yellow. Sweet apple juice and mildly bitter herbal hay flavor. Decent.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Boulder Liquor Mart. Clear, light yellow appearance with no head. I couldn’t detect the hops in the aroma - just a ton of King Soopers brand apple juice. Moderately tart. A little bit of herbal character in the flavor but it’s hard to detect any hops. Kind of juicy. Bland but easy to drink.

From a bottle this is a nice friendly mild perfume smelling beer. Looks is ever so slightly cloudy haze. Not sure if there’s many hops in thar, i guess. Easy drinkin. Good way for some one who who hates bitter hops to claim they drank some, heheh.

Draught at Old Chicago Plaza 205, Portland
Pale blond color, hazy, small head. It doesn’t have hop characteristics, but it has a light aroma of hazelnuts, it’s dry, and it has fresh crispy apple flavor. Moderate acidity.
Very nice.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours golden perry color with a transient white smear and lots of small bubbles. Smells pretty much like a typical soft cider. Med body for cider. Flavor is rather sweet, has a mild floral/spice note. From the web page: "Our new hopped cider’s bright apple sweetness is complemented by floral notes from the Strisselspalt hops and tropical notes from the Galaxy hops. All the hop goodness and none of the hop bitterness." I’m thinking it needed lots more hop.

Light pale yellow. Smells like very sweet apples. fake candy, juicy juice. Good mouthful but tastes like sour candies, fake apple flavoring. I can’t believe this is even ratable. Is this even cider?

12 ounce bottle from State Line. Pours golden with a touch of haze. Aroma of sweet apples with a hint of floral hpps. The taste is sweet apples, floral hops,a bit of toast and citrus. Medium bodied. For a hopped cider this is pretty sad.

12 oz. bottle purchased at the Beer Store, Nashua. Aroma is light pear juice and slight tart Granny Smith Apple.

I was hoping for a nice hop profile, after all with a name like"hop’N mad" I was expecting some sort of hop pop. Well it is here but only in a weak floral hint in the middle of lightly tart Apple juice. False advertising... Duped by a marketing scheme again. It’s like they targeted the Hop Heads for the marketing but didn’t deliver with what the name implies. Bull shit.
