Draft @ brewery. Chocolate, buttery caramel malt, light lactic aroma. Black brown with a small tan head, light lacing. Slightly sour lactic, chocolate, light earthy oat, buttery caramel flavor, and a light roasty bitter finish. Body on the light side of medium, soft carbonation. A bit on the thin side for an oatmeal stout, and lacking that creaminess that usually comes from oat. I’m also tasting a malt blend that I’ve tasted in a lot of their dark beers. I even asked my waitress for a taste of the black lager to compare, and sure enough... the same chocolate/buttery caramel thing going on there too. I also remember it in their smoked porter.

draft - Very dark brown in color with a moderate head that soon fades. The aroma is light and mostly dark roast malts. This beer has a medium body with light carbonation. The flavor is dominated by sweet malts but has fairly good balance. Nothing really stands out about this stout, but it’s a pretty good session brew.
