From the amazing to the mundane, all things are eventually reclaimed by the forces that created them. Yeast is no exception. Bringing new meaning to the idea of ’trash as treasure,’ Stowaway Reclaimed Saison is equal parts science project and beer-making. Right Brain brewers have painstakingly cultivated the unique strain of yeast used in this brew from reconstituted sediment found in the bottom of ’empty’ beer bottles. Over a 7-month period, brewers patiently cultured and pampered less than a teaspoon of yeast until it propagated and grew strong enough to use in a commercial batch. A traditional Saison with a hazy golden color, fruit-forward aroma, crisp complex flavor, and mildly acidic finish.

Bottle. Musty lemon-banana, wheat malt and hay aroma. Golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet-musty orange-banana wheat malt and dry grass flavor. Very tasty.
