Draft. Burnt toffee malt and cherry aroma. Dark brown with small head. Sweet raisin, toffee malt, and moderately bitter herbal/alcohol flavor. Full bodied.

On tap at the brewery. Muddy orang-brown body, thick cream head. Earthy, toasty aroma with nice sweetness. Creamy palate, with lots of brown sugar and toast, accentuated by light peat. Long, bitter, earthy hops finish. I detected a hint of apple, too. Alcohol is warming but not overbearing. Average complexity. This beer sipped nicely after a long day in a bog and cedar swamp.
