Harmoniously strong, with slight hints of caramel and chocolate and a subtle malty note.

Many thanks for this beer to mariusz. Piwo ladnie sie prezentuje piana jest spora i obfita niczym polski posilek na wiejskim weselu. Barwa brazowo rubinowa, bardzo bardzo metne, w smaku karmel, kwaskowosc, pieczony chleb i nieco syropu klonowego. Ogolnie fajne i rustykalne.

On tap at Bachmaier Hofbrau, Munich, Bavaria, Germany, Thursday January 2019. Not entirely sure of appearance as yet again the beer was served in a ceramic mug, I'm going to guess its amber to Reddy/brown. Taste is quite malty with a light flinty and metallic edge. It's pleasant enough without getting me to excited. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.0

Bottle 500ml. @ home. [ As Hofbräu München Winterzwickl ].Unclear medium to dark brown - red amber colour with a large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, grain, hay, caramel, sweet malt. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a long duration, sweet malt, dark malt, caramel, grain, rich malt, hay - grass bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20181122] 6-3-7-3-15

0,5 l bottle. Unclear dark brown in the glass with an mighty frothy and steady beige head. Malty caramell smell. Tastes malty, little bit toasted, some sweetness, some apple fruityness. Okay.

[Munich 2018] 500 ml. draft @ Hofbräuhaus München. Dark brown, creamy tanned. Nose is herbal, medicinal, overripe fruit, sour bread & kvass. Taste is sour, spoiled dark fruit, kvass, rotting cherry & fruit, medicinal,… Thin sour bread. Surprisingly bad condition given the location, that sourness is not right.

Thanks to Erzengel for that one! Bottle looks good. Beer in the glass zippy, nice small head. Fine malty aroma. Starts malty-spicy, light roasty, some earthy hints. Light metallic background. Quite drinkable. Nice!
