Brewed as an authentic German Dopplebock then allowed to freeze in the fermentor. Slushy ice floats to the top and is removed. Some ice is formed against the glycol jacket in the fermentor and that too, is left behind. What we are left with is a slightly concentrated beer. Cold aged for 6 months.

this beer has a thick and heavy palate, which I would expect. moderately sweet, not too much. malt sweetness and caramel. good flavors, alcohol should be a little bit higher I think.

Draft. Nutty chocolate and dried cherry raisin malt aroma. Dark chestnut with minimal head. Sweet raisin, dried apple and caramel malt flavor. No carbonation - smooth as silk. Just a hint of alcohol in the finish. A delicate beer which is quite shocking for an Eisbock.

Tap: Pours deep, hazy red with a creamy tan head. Berry, cherry aroma..... Sweet berry flavor, a little baked bread. Very soft...cotton-candy mouthfeel... Mild....alcohol is well hidden. Very good.
