East coast vs west coast...a battle that has been waged for years in many forms. Now there arises a brew that strives to unite the two sides. This IPA bursts with an inviting hop aroma in conjunction with a carefully selected monastic yeast strain. It delivers unexpected, yet delectable flavor. Case closed?

Super hazy golden coloured body with a bit of a honey glow and a thick, dense soapy tan head. Aroma of very nice pale and grassy hop notes, some yeast and light coriander seed spiciness. Medium-bodied; Grassy, herbal hoppy flavour at first with some yeast and malt behind and very little in complexity. Aftertaste shows mostly hoppy notes with some unfinished wort type flavours and a little alcohol dryness near the end. Overall, an okay beer - about what I’d expect from Custom Brewcrafter beers and about right from Rochester. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Oliver’s Beverage in Albany, New York on 18-November-2011 for US$6.99 sampled at home in Washington on 23-December-2011.

Pours mostly clear medium yellow with a short lived sticky white head. Funky sweet malt aroma with some citrus hops. Interesting aroma a little off the norm that I actually like. Lightly bitter but the malt is there too. Very sessionable IPA.
