tap at the brewery last Fall - Pours near black with a small tan head. The aroma is of smoky, dark roasted malt and chocolate. It tastes of sweet, roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, and a mild smokiness. Lightly carbonated and full bodied, it’s a very good beer.

Snifter on tap at Bare Hands. Pours a deep and thick looking brown with a thin but dense tan head. Aromas of burnt malt, dark chocolate and licorice. Flavor is simply amazing. One of the best new imperial stouts I have had in a long time. Dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, a little dark fruit and so on with a perfectly thick and creamy mouthfeel and a warm finish. This is totally worth the trip to Granger.
