Well it's indeed unfiltered, but still looks almost clear in the glass. Beautiful deep amber to the lightest reddish, medium sized relatively dense looking, very stable head; nice lacing. Average intensity in the aroma: caramel malts with light honey notes, a hint of (appleish?) fruitiness, more hoppiness than expected with a quite fresh grassy feeling and perhaps a hint of earthiness. Taste feels pretty intense per style, with very good taste definition and balance. Relatively strong but not yet prominent caramel malts, delicate honey notes, perhaps a hint of nuttiness. A very light touch of fruitiness (red apple?), quite strong (per style) hoppiness as suggested by the aroma with grassy notes and perhaps the slightest earthy hint. Medium sweetness and slightly below medium bitterness, very good balance in both taste and aftertaste with a clean, quite refreshing finish. Light to medium body, light to medium carbonation, a hint of fullness but still pretty smooth. An excellent marzen with quite some character.
