Bottle from Beer Gonzo. Hazy orange body with a thick white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of white pepper, chalk dust and green banana. Flavour of watermelon rind, dried grass and custard. Medium body with a powdery texture. Soft fizz. A tangy, tasty Hefeweizen.

0.5l bottle (as Schneider Weisse Tap 1 Meine helle Weisse, from beernavigator). Pours slightly hazy golden with white head. The head stays for some moments. Aroma is massive banana, sweetness, wheat, slight citrus. Flavor is sweet, sour, fruits, citrus, banana, wheat. Body feels bit watery and carbonation is rather high. Overall: ok-ish, but doesn’t have the balls of proper hefe, more in the midway between kristallweizen and proper hefe.

Bottle at Schneider Bräuhaus. Beautiful banana and clover again, less grass and more yeast than the Leichte, yet not as powerful as the Original. Medium body with lots of yeast. Carbonation makes this beer rather light and refreshing. Less complex than Original, but still very tasty, also anything but boring. Very nice.

On tap at Schneider Brauhaus Munich. Cloudy yellow color, big white head. Aroma is especially spiced (fennel, coriander, lemon peel, nettle, thyme, sandalwood incense), wheat is prominent and grainy with doughy yeast. Finish is citric and dry. Taste is balanced, light sweet a bit bitter, and a touch of salt, quite tasty. Carbonation is much livelyaand tickles the tongue. Body is medium fluffy and light, dusty texture, medium length balsamic finish.

Amber hazy with long lasting white head. Aroma is fresh hops, banana, clove but also some esthers. Taste is a light hoppy bitterness and a little grainy sweetness. Mouthfeel is watery with medium spicy carbonation. However long hoppy nice finish. Overall nice and summery. Likable despite the esthers.
