Pour is a chalky looking blonde with a large white head. Aroma has the clove thing going for it. Flavor is a little bland with some wheat malt and it's almost totality missing the usual clove and banana ester. This is more like an American wheat ale. Still drinkable but also does not need to be 6% abv.

Red can. Pours like a slightly less cloudy hefe, but a little cloudy near the end of the pour after I swirl the can. Slight famy nose. Palate is quite lively with co2 and such. Does not really show its 6% alky, very lade back. Taste is just a tad processed with some back-up a tart feel to it. Yes, some hefe attributes, like civility and lack of wheat ale attitude thank goodness. Smoother in the middle with the cutting co2 continuing. Tartness make me reminisce of the average berliners I've had, which is good. Yes, overall refreshing at the least and a slight deviation form yer typical hefe. Not bad.

Bottle. Light amber body. Frothy white head. Aroma of spice with hints of clove, banana, bubble gum, toasted grain. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture turning sticky, lively carbonation. Interesting take on the style with some dark malts. A tad too raw grained, leaving an uninviting aftertaste.

bottle - A huge head on this beer necessitating pouring in stages while it slowly dissipated. It has an aroma of banana, spice, and wheat. The flavor is mildly bitter, yeasty, spicy, and finishes dry. Good hefe.

Draft sampled at a tasting event. From notes. Yeasty with wheat and funk. Not too shabby.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours muddy light brown with huge fluffy beige. Aroma is banana, medium body, medium/low carbonation, and little lacing. Taste is ripe banana, vanilla, black pepper, yeasty, and astringent. Hard to drink.

12oz bottle. Opens a little enthusiastically, pours with a suspect infected mega head..makes Rayon Vert seem fun. Wheats are a pretty forgiving style, and if it is infection, it hasn’t completely killed it. Not really pourable/drinkable with the massive foamy head...moving on. Has a real effervescent, quality mouthfeel...making me curious to try other Greenbush beers. Nice clove. almost lemony bite..doesn’t have much banana. Kind of harsh mineral tones. Infected...yet promising.

Super hazy golden coloured body with a bright copper glow and a ridiculously nice, three centimetre tall tan head - this is perfect for the style. Aroma of wheat, coriander seed, curacao, light yeast, a touch of corn, some dough and bread and a little sweetness. Medium-bodied; Earthy, bready, yeastie flavour at first with some noticeable pepper kick at first, some light wheat, a little herbs and some hops noticeable, then the coriander seed, wheat and yeast really kick in. Aftertaste shows a good sweetness from full oranges, some bubble gum and bready notes at the back end with a good complexity and a solid, smooth-drinking beer with plenty of refreshing notes. Overall, a well produced beer that blends refreshing and easy-drinking with complex and to-the-style - definitely worth trying if you can find this and one that I’d be drinking all the time during summer, if I could find it - I’d have this more than Oberon, for sure. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Merchant’s in Dearborn, Michigan on 02-August-2013 for US$1.99 sampled at home in Washington on 15-September-2013.

Draft. Funky Belgian yeast, wheat malt, and citrus-banana aroma. Hazy straw gold with a small off-white head. Banana, wheat malt, yeast, and light clove flavor. Medium body and carbonation.

Draft. Banana, lemon, Belgian yeast and wheat malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet banana, orange, light wheat malt and moderately bitter orange peel flavor. Pretty solid.
