Houndmouth, a hopped-up American Wheat Ale brewed in collaboration with the New Albany band of the same name. But please note that Houndmouth isn’t just any other band, and the beer we’ve brewed together isn’t just another wheat -- as those of you who’ve heard the music, and tasted the cask-conditioned version, will quickly attest.

Nonic pint draft at the Bank Street brewery in New Albany, Indiana. The pour is a mostly clear golden yellow with a ½ inch white head. The aroma is pretty faint, there is some leafy grass and a bit of wheat grain. The taste is wheat grain, floral character and a hint of honey. The hops were present, thought somewhat muted. The palate is light to medium bodied with soft carbonation and a dry leafy finish. Some diacetyl became present as the beer warmed. Didn’t completely come together for me.

Bottle. Yeasty wheat malt and earthy orange peel aroma. Golden yellow with giant head. Sweet creamy wheat malt and moderately bitter herbal orange peel flavor. Really like the malt in this - balanced nicely with the hops.
