Sampled on draft at the brewpub this beer poured a medium brown color with orange highlights and a medium sized beige head that left decent lacing. The aroma was dry and toasty with a bit of tobacco. The flavor was dry, roasty and woody with hints of fruit and caramel underneath. Medium length finish. Medium body. Meh.

On tap athe brewpub. Dirty pale yellow and light brown with a slight haze. Barely any aroma on this one but perhaps I do detect a very slight tart vinegar olfactory in a good sour way. Nice friendly light flavor. Soome mild fruit and this stuff is easy on a lager lovers taste buds. Nice overall beer drinken experience. Very light CO2 and the finsh is just fine, goes down very nicely. Liked. One of the better scottish ales I’ve tated.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a dark brownish-amber color with a thin and foamy tan head that diminishes steadily. Thin rings of lacing. Roasted malt, caramel and hops in the nose. Medium, smooth body with flavors of caramel malt, sweet fruit and hops. The finish is sweet and roasty with a malty aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
