beautiful appearance of dark brown colour and huge, very long lasting dense light brown head;aroma of milk chocolate, raisin, roasted malts and sugar, coffee and some spicy alcoholic notes; taste is - surprisingly - not as bitter as expected, great harmony of chocolate, malty sweetness, roasted brown sugar, raisin, dried fruits, hoppy bitterness and alcoholic warmth; perfect stout

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with tiny tan head, strong coffee aroma this comes through in the taste with roasted malts raisins vanilla, quite thin mouthfeel for an impy, warming alcohol.

Pours an amber brown out of the bottle. no head. pitch black in the Teku glass, cellar temp. Nose is all coffee bean. taste is pretty wow. very decadent, some spice but mostly chocolate and espresso bean, some oaky notes and caramel / candy corn taste.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ mitra.nl. Pours pitch black with a very minimal tan head. Aroma of coffee, vanilla and roasted malts. taste is bittersweet chocolate with hops added. Oily mouthfeel with little carbonation. Great bitter aftertaste with some alcohol warmth. Great brew, worthy of being sipped while reading a good book.

0.33l bottle. Black body, huge light brown head that collapses slowly. Caramel, chocolate and floral hops in the aroma. Lots of chocolate, coffee, cream, caramel and cherries in the flavor with some floral hop bitterness. Really smooth, creamy texture. The aftertaste is chocolatey, and lasts long. Warming alcohol. Awesome.

Bottle at home, thanks to an IP trade with Dennis, 19/01/13. Pours extremely dark mahogony brown with a tan head that collapses immediately and just leaves a small island of bubbles floating off the coast of the edge. Nose is surprisingly lacking for a 10% beer! Dark roast malt, metallic notes, dark toffee, molasses, sugars, some booze. Taste comprises dark malts, brown sugars, milk chocolate, leather, molasses, dark toffee. Full bodied, a little oily in texture but not cloying or heavy going, fairly smooth, spot on palate wise. This one really improved as it warmed (from 3.6 to 3.9). The complexity came out and began to shine. A more than decent Imperial Stout.

Greit øl. Lukter litt humle. Nøe røkt smak og noe humle. Ikke den beste jeg har smakt fra de mollen som forøvrig har mange gode øl i sitt utvalg.
