Tap at Warsaw location. Hazy purple tinged amber with a small pinkish white head, thick creamy lacing. Musty/funky, tart, earthy blackberry aroma. Musty/funky, tart earthy blackberry flavor with some slight bitterness in the finish. Light, slightly acidic body, moderate carbonation. Nice sour - wish MA would do more of this type of thing.

tap at the Ft Wayne brewpub (Mar 10, 2012) - This brew is distinct from their regular imperial blackberry ale that was released a few weeks later. I guess they made a small batch of a sour version along with the standard one as this one was only briefly available. Pours very hazy with a very small head and a burnt orange color. The aroma is mainly of sour berries. The tart flavor has berries, an earthy note, and a little wild funk taste. It’s medium bodied with a tart finish that seems a bit off/odd. Pretty good. It’s not a great sour, but it works.
