Pours a slightly hazy gold into a shaker. No head at all. Apple and yeast aromas. Soft with upfront apple pie turning to mild yeast in the middle before the lasting apple finish.

Bottle. Nice pale golden hue with little carbonation. Aromas of fresh apples abound. Crisp, slightly sweet, and somewhat tart apple flavor with a nice medium dry finish. The Belgian yeast, somewhat subdued comes through on the finish. One of the better ciders I’ve tried.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this cider poured a slightly cloudy yellow-tan color with a minimal foamy white head that left no lacing. The aroma was sweet, tart and tangy apple with a touch of must and a strong yeasty presence. The flavor was very tart and tangy apple with a strong yeasty presence and a berry undertone. The finish was very long tart apple and yeast. Medium body. --- Beer merged from original tick of Woodchuck Hard Cider Private Reserve Belgian White on 25 May 2025 at 17:31 - Score: Appearance - 4 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5

Refrigerated 12 oz. bottle poured into a white wine glass. Pours hazy golden with small white head. Very little lacing, medium body, syrupy texture, and nice estery aroma. Taste is slightly sweet/tart apple, some citrus, and a hint of coriander. Good Cider.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy gold with minimal head. Aroma of woody musty green apples with a little candied orange peel. Also a little plum skin aroma. Taste is light sweet and light sour. Belgian sugar, green apple and plum skin. Light bodied with a sticky texture. Flat carbonation and a long finish. Overall, not bad. I’m glad I didn’t get a whole 6-pack but I’ll enjoy this one.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours hazy amber with a transient bubbly/frothy white head. Aroma of cooked apples and light citrus. About med body. Flavor is very pleasant. Apple, wood, mild citrus. Finishes a bit less than dry. It’s even a little astringent. It drinks quite easily. One of the better Woodchucks IMHO.

Draft: Clementine and apple nose. Cloudy amber, no visible carbonation. Orange and apple core flavor. drinks like what an hypothetical Mike’s hard orange juice might be, but the presence of apple is unmistakable. No coriander. Neat.

Picked up a single at Bert’s Better Beers. Poured into an ommegang glass.
A - Half a finger creamy head that went away instantly. Deep golden brown with some slight sediment floating around
S - apples, apples, apples, brown sugar and some bready yeast.
T - Tastes like a standard Woodchuck but with a very earthy taste to it. Tastes more natural or maybe more like beer than a woodchuck usually does. The Belgian yeast really shapes how this beer moves around your mouth and it’s delicious.
M - 80% carbonation on a mouth swish. Very dry finish, light-bodied
O - it’s very good. I’d like to have it again.
