The radiant copper-orange hue and rocky, off-white head of our traditional Märzen-style lager comes from generous amounts of Munich malt. Caramel malt aromas complement the German lager yeast’s slightly floral aroma. Mt. Hood hops balance the substantial malt body, while the lager yeast adds a subtlety to the flavor, making this a great rendition of a classic German lager. Prost!

Poured into a mug, the appearance has a sly burnt orange to amber color yielding a slim white foamy finger’s worth of head atop of the beer.
The aroma starts with a weird vegetal bitterness over some burnt toast. Caramel malts seem burnt too.
The flavor, well, I don’t know what it wants to be, is it sweet or bitter? Hard to say, but it’s definitely not really sweet or bitter, it’s bland, I hate to use that word, but I don’t have any other words to try and describe the flavor. There’s not even any nuttiness. No aftertaste or finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a sly sessionability about it but it slightly does feel like there’s something missing. Low carbonation.
Overall, not sure what happened here, but everything seems off to me. I would only have again if I knew the bottle is fresh or on tap.

Ok

Aroma is very malt fruity. Flavor at first is pretty good with some toffee, toasted malt, but then gives way to sweet malts that linger through the finish. Wish they would’ve reversed that - a bit sweet up front and a nice slightly toasty finish. Oh well.
