Sample at the brewpub. Hazy golden color with a medium off-white head that diminishes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of floral hops, citrus and malt. Medium-bodied with flavors of spicy hops, roast malt and citrus. The finish is moderately bitter with a lingering citrusy hops aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

Tap at Haymarket pub and brewery, Chicago - 04/11/12. Lightly hazed pale golden. Floral hops on the nose, mango, peach, light yeast notes, candied sugar, touch of spice. Taste follows nose, a little pine, madarin and orange, peach once again. Fuller end of medium bodied with a bitter fruity finish.

A hazed golden IPA with a thin lacing white off white head. In aroma, a superb herbal malt with curacao, herbal hops, grassy and smooth. In mouth, a smooth herbal malt with nice herbal Belgian hops, a bit of catnip, grainy notes, dry mouthfeel, orange pulp, rye notes, well done. On tap at brewpub, Nov. 11 2011.

Enjoyed on tap prior to eating a meal with some good friends at the Haymarket Pub in Chicago, IL. Appearance partially cloudy gold with thin white rim. Aroma of belgian yeast, clove, definite hop presence, a bit of pepper, pretty good. Taste is decent, definitely unique. Peppery with hop bitterness, i like it but it seems like something is off with it. I don’t know what rye tastes like but I’m sure that’s what feels off about this. Happy to have tried but wouldn’t try again, still a good brew though, just not my cup of tea.
