Hoppier than its English cousins this American amber ale will have you saying “Jolly good show” when the maltiness rolls across the palate and locks fingers with the spicy hop finish. Hopped to the top end of the style, Flat12’s amber ale maintains its composed American character throughout.…

Bottle. Dark amber color. Great massive head that slowly went away. Taste was very malty and very hoppy at the same time. Powerful flavor. Aroma was hoppy.

12 oz. bottle in trade with Fletche00. Brown color, with a medium, tan head. The aroma is molasses, resin, light coffee, and orange rinds. Light roasty sweetness and a pretty good hop bitterness. Medium body, chalky, sticky, and a little astringent. Overall, this is nice, over-hopped amber.

Clear deep amber body that hold a generous off-white head. Clean caramel aroma. Sweet on the front with some bitterness to balance. No real hop flavor. Yawn, another amber ale.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of queenholly. Another over carbonated bottle that had to be poured real slow… Aroma is pleasant citrus hops and caramel. Flavor is caramel and notes of toffee with Earthy piney hops. Bitterness lasts for a medium duration. If they get the carbonation right this will be very nice indeed!

Bottle. Buttery caramel malt aroma. Amber with a small tan head. Caramel malt, a little diacetyl, and big grapefruit peel hops flavor.Medium body, low carbonation. I found the hops a little harsh, and would have preferred more malt balance.

Draft. Amber body with a frothy, off-white head, slowly diminishing. Aroma of toasted grain, caramel, resin. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. The finish is lightly sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture and lively carbonation. Husky, grainy taste and lots of bitterness. A hint of caramel once you get past the bitter finish.

tap at the brewery - Pours amber with an off-white head. From the mild citrus hops in the aroma onward it’s obvious that this brew is heavily hopped for the style. It tastes of citrus hops and caramel malt and bitterness lingers in the finish. This bubbly, medium bodied brew is an enjoyable quaff.
