Pours a murky dark amber color with a medium foamy khaki head that recedes gradually. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Smoked malt, caramel and slight hops in the nose. Medium to full body with flavors of peaty malt, caramel and fruit. The finish is smoked malt and fruit. Decent overall.

16oz can courtesy of StFun pours with a crystal amber body with copper hues and a thin light tan head. The aroma offers up sweet malts, brown sugar drenched plums and blueberries. The taste is pretty fruity with plums and boysenberries running into sweet malts, molasses and a slight cola soda like sensation. Behind those notes is a bit of earthy and slightly roasty malts. Interesting brew.

16 oz pint can purchased at Keg Liquors in New Albany, Indiana. The pour is a darker brown with some golden and a noisy one inch tan head. The crackles down somewhat quickly. The aroma is caramel malt, some apple fruit, and earthy peat. The taste is sharp malt sweet, the caramel, along with toffee and brown sugar. In addition to the sweet, there is some grass, along with earth and a touch of the peat from the nose. The palate is medium to light bodied, a low carbonation level, almost flat, and a decent amount of alcohol heat in the aftertaste. Not totally my type of beer, though solidly made.

Can 1 pt. Courtesy of Pinball. Pours a clear dark amber with a dense and creamy off-white head leaving quite some lacework. Rich caramellish aroma with a subtle whiff of smoke. Rich malty body, loads of caramel and nuts. Hardly any hops. Lovely. 270612

On tap at Haymarket. Pours a near clear amber brown with a light brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of dark fruit and toffee with some backing sweet grains. Flavor is sweet with grains, fruit and toffee with a bit of backing coffee bitterness.

Acquired this as an extra in a trade. Stuck it in the fridge, poured it into a pint glass and enjoyed. Only identifier for age is #396 on the bottom of the can.
A - 3-Finger coffee colored head. This is the exact definition of a creamy head. Very tight bubbles, great head lacing. Very nice.Ale is dark brown to light black. Almost no light gets through.
S - Roasted malts is what I get first followed by caramel and brown sugar. There’s a bit of bready notes to this beer. Reminds me a lot of a Newcastle.
T - Well, this is a very sweet beer. It’s a bit more boozy than I expected. I can taste the alcohol pretty easy. Roasted and Caramel malts, nuttines is there as well, Similar to Newcastle mixed with an Old ale mixed with some Belgian Strong ale. It’s just very very sweet and that’s a turn off.
M - 50/50 carbonation, medium bodied, slipper mouth feel, not dry at all. Lingering caramel and syrup taste.
O - Its an okay beer. I wouldn’t buy or drink this again.
