Since the first bottle rolled off the production line of Seychelles Breweries Ltd in June 1972, SeyBrew Lager has been the favourite beer of Seychelles. SeyBrew is brewed with the finest malt and hops imported from Europe, Australia and South Africa. SeyBrew is available in 280ml green glass bottles and draught at 4.9% alcohol by volume, which makes it just perfect for quenching your thirst in the warm sunny Seychelles. SeyBrew is an all occasion beer but exceptionally inviting at the end of a day's work. Bottles are available cold at all liquor-licensed stores, whereas Draught is limited to some selective but popular bars. SeyBrew was awarded a Gold Medal in Brussels in 1974 - just two years after its launch. It topped 500 competing beers to scoop that first international award early acclaim which was consolidated by winning a Silver Medal in Geneva in 1978 and a Gold Medal in Amsterdam in 1981.

Bottled 280ml. -Courtesy of and shared with Marko, thanks! Yellow coloured, medium sized white head, wet grain in the nose. Water, cereals, grain and some vegetables with short finish. Usual stuff but not unpleasant.

Bottled, huge thanks Eva!!!! Shared with ogivlado. Paaaaaaaaale golden body, really pale, lively carbonation, thick, surprisingly thick white head. Strange aroma, vegetables, dry paperiness, strange fruit. Taste... vague cornflakes, dry paperiness. Vague herbal note without any bittenress proves that some hops were actually used. Not that offensive, drinkable, meh. Really glad to have tried it!

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Ofri. Piss-yellow color with almost no head. Aroma of cooked corn, skunkiness, a bit of cardboard and metal. Sweetish flavor, corny, with some metallic bitterness. Thin and watery.

33cl can from a colleague (thank you HTM for bringing this back from the Seychelles!). Pours the usual pale golden with the almost non-existing white head. Moderate grainy aroma with some slightly fruity notes and hints of grass and cooked vegetables. Moderate sweet with mild grainy flavour and a light, but noticeable bitterness. Light, not much flavour, but drinkable. Would imagine it can go down fairly easy on a nice and hot day were it is supposed to be enjoyed. [Country #111]

Many thanks to kevnic2008 for this can. Grainy nose, lots of grain in the mainpart. Nearly undrinkable. The body is grainy, not even tasting fresh or crisp. The aftertaste is grainy malt with no significant bitterness.
