Since the first bottle rolled off the production line of Seychelles Breweries Ltd in June 1972, SeyBrew Lager has been the favourite beer of Seychelles. SeyBrew is brewed with the finest malt and hops imported from Europe, Australia and South Africa. SeyBrew is available in 280ml green glass bottles and draught at 4.9% alcohol by volume, which makes it just perfect for quenching your thirst in the warm sunny Seychelles. SeyBrew is an all occasion beer but exceptionally inviting at the end of a day's work. Bottles are available cold at all liquor-licensed stores, whereas Draught is limited to some selective but popular bars. SeyBrew was awarded a Gold Medal in Brussels in 1974 - just two years after its launch. It topped 500 competing beers to scoop that first international award early acclaim which was consolidated by winning a Silver Medal in Geneva in 1978 and a Gold Medal in Amsterdam in 1981.

Thank you jtclockwork! Looks like sperm sample. Cardboard aroma. Taste is paper. And not even fresh paper, it's stale paper. One of the worst beers I have ever tasted.

The standard pale lager of the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean, from a brewery set up there in the late sixties, working with ingredients that are imported from Europe, Australia and South Africa. Thanks tderoeck for sharing. Loose, snow white, bubbly, open and quickly disappearing head (bottle had been opened before), very pale straw blonde colour with somewhat ‘rosy’ tinge. Aroma of wet chicken corn, burnt rubber, raw grains, plastic and not much else. Sweetish cereally flavour, very thin and very corn water-like, carbonation has largely fled already so doesn’t help either to establish a bit of body; corn-, rubber- and plastic-like aspect diluted in mineral water best describe the finish, in which I found close to no hops, let alone hop bitterness. Worse than expected, to be honest, very poor even within the limits of an already hugely boring, but vast group of standardized pale lager beers.

06/10/2018 - sampled from bottle on RBBSG 2018 Clear blonde, no head. Nose is malts, corn, sweet. Taste is wattery, malt, bit corn, bit hay. Well as expected I might say so all it's point for expectation. Whatever... nice country tick.

6/X/18 - 280ml bottle from a trade, shared @ late RBBSG, Brouwerij Totem (Evergem), BB: 8/VIII/18 - (2018-1544) Thanks to Rubin77 for the trade!

Clear pale yellow beer, small creamy white head, little stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very dirty, grains, metallic, lots and lots of chlorine, unpleasant. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: very watery, grains, hay, cow fodder, dirty touch, slightly fruity. Aftertaste: more cow fodder, grains.

Sampled from bottle @ late RBBSG. Clear pale golden color, small to average sized white head. Smell and taste lightly malts, hayish, bitter. Oh well. Typical standard pale lager. Not too bad. And a cool country tick. Thanks Tim!

0.33 l bottle brought by Višnja 666 from Seychelles. Huge thanks for this one. Shared with Mlađo. As pale as a beer gets. Creamy white head. No hops here ever! No grain also. Paper aroma. Very faint grainy, hints of vegetable and butter. No esters. No character. Water. Moderate carbonation. Flavours are unpleasant and watered down. Doesn't even get far in terms of tropical lagers.
