Bottle. Black. Salted licorice and roast in the aroma and flavor. Some toffee in the finish. Skimmed milk. Fairly dry, slightly alcoholic.

Bottle @ home. Pitch black colour. Big light brown head with good retention. Aroma's: roasted, boozy, chocolate, fruit. Retronasal it's sweetish, fruity/sourish (is this the farmhouse part?), roast, earthy. Flavor is light sweet, hard roasted bitter, dark chocolate. Fairly strong alcohol feel. Above medium bodied. Chalky mouthfeel. Ashy bitter finish. Not bad, but a bit harsh.

150 ml. draft @ Foeders. Black, creamy solid mocha head; Nose is liquorice, red grape & vague sour red grape vinos note. Taste is nice old school mocha, caramel, liquorice, bread, finish is bit too bitter liquorice root, red grape, sourness note from smell disappears in taste, classical BE / Nl, finish is too harsh liquroice bitter, bit much but overall a nice one.
