Dark but clear red-brown beer, thin head soon fizzles away to nothing. Smells malty with a hint of sweetness. Flavour has lots of toasty malt, a little dried fruit, a dash of hop, some sweet spice and a bit of booziness reflecting the strength. Clean, simple flavours. A fairly straightforward beer of the style but amped up. Very decent indeed.
