Bottle bought at Vinmonopolet Aker Brygge. Black with a small head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, some port wine and notes of alcohol. The same in the taste. Sweet and with a medium body. A nice one.

Svart med med brunt skum. Lukter bark, salt lakris, mørk sjokolade, portvin og kaffebønner. Fyldig. Smaker salt lakris, lett kaffebitter, brent karamell, melasse, noe søtlig portvin i smaken også. Lang.

Så og si svart i farge. Brunt skum som forsvinner relativtt raskt. Lukter kaffe, alkohol, portvin, mørke bær. Mye sødme i smak. Kaffe, lakris. Brunt sukker. Fyldig. Meget god.

Bottle, shared with friends. Poured pitch black in color with a lasting off white head. Dark fruity aroma with layers of licorice, berries and oak. Dark chocolate, dark fruits, oak and licorice. Complex and with nice notes of sherry later on. Grows on you. Fantastic brew.

33 cl bottle @ Antitasting. Bottled 10.09.2019, BBE 19.07.2029 Bottle #4849 Aroma has alcohol, licorice and mild alcohol notes. Flavour has sweet sugary tones, coffee, licorice and mild rubbery tones. Also mead and sherry. Reminds me of DH3. Just too sweet for me.

(Bottle, 0.33 l - bottled on 10.09.2019 - BB 19.07.2029, from Alko, 20191231) The beer poured black. Its head was small and lightly brown. Aroma had burnt malts, coffee, dark chocolate and cocoa powder. Palate was full bodied and warming with medium carbonation. Flavours were burnt malts, dark chocolate, coffee, sweetness, vineousness, alcohols and bitterness. Aftertaste had burnt, sweetness and bitterness. Not so balanced as I would have hoped but still really pleasant beer.

33cl Fles, dank voor het delen Harmen! Gitzwart, bruine kraag. Dikke stout met veel umami, sojasaus, geroosterde mout, zoete wijn, eik, chocolade. Enorme smaakbom, flink boozy maar niet storend. Lekker hoor.

Bottle shared with HDI at Melkebaren, Sandnes, 18.12.19. Very dark brown, bordering to ebony. Small beige head and lacing. Coherent taste of coffee, prunes, dates, fermented plums and Armagnac. Full and oily mouthfeel. Excellent!
