As one of the United States’ top blueberry producers, Oregon is home to some of the best blueberries grown anywhere in the world. We work directly with local growers to select only the finest, most ripe fruit of the season to create one of our staple Northwest sour ales. Blueberry features a blend of sour triple and blond ales aged in Pinot Noir barrels for up to two years with fresh blueberries proudly grown right here in Oregon’s bountiful Willamette Valley.

Beatiful pinkish-red to purple colour, with a brownish haze and a small pinkish rim. Very fruity nose, red fruit, berries, raspberry, blueberry, bilberry. Sourish, faintly woody, faintly lactic. Surplus of fruitacids, and a perfumey finish, very tart. Finish becomes bilberry to me. Hints of lemon and wild yeasts. Light dry-out effect. Long-lasting berry flavours, getting drier and drier. Another little marvel. I can quite dig these sours. Many thanks to M & L V.!

This is a pinkish-purple colored beer. It has a fruity/berry aroma. Slightly herbal. Some woody notes. Another very tasty fruit sour from Cascade. These guys do fruit sours and they do them well.

750ml shared by Madvike. Purple red, deep. Oily, thin head. Juicy, fruity. Some of that test tube US action, but juicy and nice, real fruity depth. Captures a mellow enjoyability not found in most US sours.

Pours mahogany blue into a snifter. White micro head with excellent retention recedes leaving spot lacing. Blueberry and oak aromas. Sharp with sweet blueberry and tart lactic notes. Dry lasting blueberry powder finish.

Light purple-red. Lots of barrel, touch of blueberry, touch yeasty, opening acidity, dash of fruit and almost a yoghurty lacto character.

Bottle - Blueberry and some yeasty funk. Cloudy reddish pink with a decent white head. Light tartness, light funk and a berry finish. Fairly mild compared to the other sours from Cascade.

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a hazy pinkish red with medium frohthy pink head that lasts. The aroma is a strong tart blueberry and oak. Thin mouthfeel with sour berry, funk, oak. Light acidity, easy to drink, very good.
