Medium to full bodied with a deep dark red-brown hue. This award winning beer has complex malt character driven by loads of dark roasted malt. Our brewer uses mountains of hops to balance this malt, making Lumberjack an outstanding beer to savour with richer style foods. Medals: Silver - Commonwealth Cup 2015. Silver - Dublin Craft Beer Cup 2013. Bronze - Dublin Craft Beer Cup 2015. Bronze - San Diego International Craft Beer Fair 2015.

(Bottle, 0.44 l, thanks brunnsbe, 20190602) The beer poured deep amber and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had caramel, grass and toffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were grass, caramel, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A rather pleasant malty brew with lightly too sweet notes.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear amber with a lasting foamy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, malt, light chocolate, biscuit, dried fruits and hint of stewed veg. Light sweetness, medium bitterness, and an odd metallic edge. Moderate body, oily and watery texture, average carbonation.

440ml bottle. Pours a clear amber colour with a small non-lasting beige head. Sweet malty aroma, caramel, toffee and fruits. Flavour is also heavily on the malty side, predominantly caramel and toffee notes, fruity and bready, "mountains of hops" it most certainly does not have, the finish is a little bitter - medicinal/metallic though. Medium body, average carbonation. Disappointing for my first South African craft beer.

Amber to red in appearance. Aroma and flavour have strong malts and resinous hop bitterness. This is countered by syrupy sweet red fruits.

Draught at The Foundry, Johannesburg
Amber color, clean, with big head. The aroma is nice, with fruity hops. Smooth mouthfeel, semi dry; good caramel and malt flavor, with good citrusy hopping.
