Introducing Pedigree, or “P” as it was first known. Strange that looking back. Anyway, it has a fascinating aroma. Palate of biscuit malt, spicy hops and light fruitiness. It was renamed in a staff competition back in George Peard’s day. He was our head brewer back in the day. Cheers George!

Servida en pinta, color ámbar, espuma jabonosa color blanco lino bastante bien retenida. Aroma discreto a malta, miel y algo de caramelo. En boca adquiere algo mas de fuerza , reservando siempre, no obstante, su carácter comedido, se sienten matices de caramelo, aparece algo de frutos secos, cereales, final marcado por un ligero amargor, y una sutil nota metálica de fondo que, aunque bastante leve, no me pasa desapercibida. En general bastante decente y correcta.

0.5l bottle. A tiny bit murky amber body with a lasting pearl head. Aroma and taste of sweet apple juice, floral hops, pears and some toast. OK beer, but nothing extraordinary. Yet another MJ pokémon collected.

Color ámbar, nebulosa de un dedo de espuma blanquecina. aroma no muy marcado con ligeras, notas malteadas, acarameladas. En boca cuerpo moderado y un agradable sabor acaramelado, sin empalagar,con notas de frutos secos y uvas, y un punto de gas que realza el sabor sin molestar. Final moderadamente seco y amargo. Buena.

Wali szampanskoje igristoje, lekki karmel i palonosc. Barwa złota, miedziana, piana redukuje się do krążka, zostawia lekkie znaki na szkle. Goryczka niska, palona. Nie dla mnie taki zestaw smakow.

As mass produced amber ales go this one is pretty decent. Slight banana esters in the aroma. Slight bitterness with malty backbone. From memory I think this is better than the filtered version.

# 2862; 4/2022. Aroma of sweet cherry, stone fruit, jam. Brilliant amber body; off-white head. Woody, sweet cherry, hazelnut, good drinkability. Very good beer. 0,5 l, bottle, supermarket, Lincoln (Lincolnshire, England).
