Ozujsko Pivo, a blond beer, is Croatia’s leading brand, dating from 1893. The selection of hops and barley gives Ozujsko (5.2% ABV) a refreshing taste and fine bitter aroma. It should be served at 3°C with compact foam.

Sampled from 0.5 l can from local 'LIDL', best before June 2019. Clear, golden with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, a little grassy-spicy aroma of grains and traces of straw. Moderately sweet, minimally bitter, a bit grassy-spicy taste of grains and a touch of straw, followed by a short, just moderately bitter, slightly grassy-spicy and a bit metallic finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Okay.

Bottle@Dubrovnik, Croatia. Golden beer with a strong frothy white head. The aroma is plainly dry and yeasty. The flavour is yeasty with gentle bitterness and dryness. Overall a very average lager. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

0,5 l bottle. Pours clear golden yellow with small dissipating white head. Aroma of malt and some light grassy hop notes. Taste is light sweet and light bitter. Body is medium, texture slick and carbonation average. Finish is medium, malt and slightly annoying harsh bitterness. Run of the mill industrial lager. Once it warmed up it was wet cardboard all the way. I have it in better memory from previous years.

7 August 2018. Bottle thanks to Holiday Home Luka, Kalnik. Cheers to Anke!
Pours clear dark golden/orange ('lambic'-like), fizzing, with a lasting, small, frothy, unstable, white head. Aroma of yeast, wort, freshly baked bread, grain, plain malt. It tastes medium grainy bitter, yeasty, light bready sweet with hints of apple & wort. Dry, grainy, yeasty finish, never wry. Light body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation. Would prefer this over Belgium's massively popular Pale Lagers.

Tap. What to say... Nice example of EuroLager. Watery, acceptable as thirst killer only.
