Wild Saison

This vibrant, bright, rose-colored saison is full of floral & spice notes mixed with hints of tartness from the foeder aging & hibiscus flowers. It is a unique creation brewed with rose hips, rose petals, & hibiscus, giving this saison a character & color all its own. A beautiful piece of art presented in a glass.

Bottle thanks to ditmier Batch #389. Pours out dark red/amber topped with a sand head. Aroma was ripe cherries, currents, some wood, and a little spice. Taste was more of the cherries and berries along with some Brett and finish with a little citrus. A fun one to try.

Deep red to amber colour with a small, but lasting white head. Amazingly complex aroma with peppercorns (black, white and pink), pineapple, orange peel and other fruit, wood character and roses. Dry and slightly tart complex flavour with exotic fruits and lots of white pepper. A little perfumed, but a great beer

Bottle, Batch 389. Fiery translucent orange-red body with spritzy carbonation, medium to thin discontinuous clumping off-white head. Interesting aroma, beginning with bread dough, followed by flower petals, red wine, and oak, tannic and herbal, with a touch of alcohol. The body is soapy and well-carbonated, with flower petals, bread dough, red wine and oak, developing a thin tartness. Good, but watery and flirting with vapidity.

Pours "pinkish red-orange" with a creamy and long lasting head. The aroma is dominated by strawberries. The fruitiness is of New Glarus like propotions. Small notes of currant seeds. The taste has got all that a good saison needs. It has got notes of spices, small sourness, strawberriesm currant seeds, flowers etc. Its also kind of bretty with the sourness and the vinous bitterness. Kind of reminds me of Orval but without the hops.

bottle at Ft Wayne tasting - This brew pours cloudy orange and has a sour, wild yeast funk aroma with some floral tones. It tastes at once sweet and tart with floral character and a light bitterness. Interesting take on the style.
