Wild Saison
This vibrant, bright, rose-colored saison is full of floral & spice notes mixed with hints of tartness from the foeder aging & hibiscus flowers. It is a unique creation brewed with rose hips, rose petals, & hibiscus, giving this saison a character & color all its own. A beautiful piece of art presented in a glass.

amber color, rose hips, very estery, earthy, horseblanket, very dry nose. Dry, full body, tons of rose hips, cherries, honey dew, but lacking a bit of acidity, a touch sweet. A bit thin. Lingering rose hips, cherries in the finish.

750 ml bottle bought @ Ølbutikken. Pours hazy goldenish red with a huge fluffy and frothy offwhite head that slowly dissipates while leaving lots of trace on the glass. Smell is tiny sweet, floral, fruity and spicy with perfume-like flowers, moist grass, white pepper, crackers, peaches, mango, moist soil, biscuits, old dry wood, dusty attic, butterscotch, roses, white pepper, passion fruit, lilacs, jasmine and lemon zest. The smell brings you into a moist and dew covered tropical garden during a warm summer night. Taste is tiny bitter, slightly sour, floral, fruity and spicy with crackers, lemon zest, white pepper, moist grass, lilacs, moist soil, rose water, ripe plums, passion fruit, lychee, mandarin oranges, allspice, dry wood, green grapes and hints of hibiscus. Mouthfeel is smooth, dry, tart and medium bodied. Finish is tiny sour, dry and spicy with crackers, moist soil, white pepper, moist soil, green grapes, rose water and moist grass. This beer brings you into a fantasy garden landscape that you never want to leave. Amazing stuff and easily one of the best beers I’ve ever tried. Complex, thirst quenching and very drinkable!

750 bottle. Tangy nose, citrus, acid, flowery. Very nice. Deep, cloudy red-orange with lace. Flowery sweet flavor, bready, light sourness. Very sweet, yet finishes very dry. Too thick and heavy. Not so drinkable, but interesting and fun. Could be crisper.

Bottle. Hazy amber body. Huge off-white head, mostly lasting. Aroma of funkiness, dirty herbs, lacquer, raw plants, hibiscus. the flavor is lightly to moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet, lightly to moderately bitter and moderately acidic. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Lots of flavors in this beer: dry fruit, wood, earth, farm, pepper, spices. Dry finish that brings on some tartness. OK.

Bottle. This beer pours the color of rose gold with a massive (and I mean massive) head of fluffy foam. First try resulted in about a quarter glass of liquid and 3/4 head. Aromas are a lovely mix of floral and fruit notes with a decidedly sour funk behind them. I would have said \"raspberry\" if I hadn’t read the label. Flavor is light an funky with a nice sour bite to it, but it seems to fall a little short of Jolly Pumpkin’s normally aggressive sourness. The whole thing kind of comes across as a little washed out and I was expecting a more substantial edginess. That said, it is very nice, light and refreshing. I would never guess the ABV is over 6%... maybe would have even pegged it somewhere much closer to 5%. Very nice, but a little underdeveloped.

Hazy, deep amber coloured body with a ruby glow and large tan head. Aroma of coriander seed, flowers, light spice, a touch of malt, a little sugar and the noticeable yeast usually shown in JP beers. Medium-bodied; Malty flavour with quite a bit of floral notes, some subdued sweetness and a pungent and perhaps too strong spiciness. Aftertaste shows some alcohol, a touch of the yeast and a sour quality, but the spices really show through. Overall, a nice beer for sure, but not as great as I expected - perhaps too high of expectations. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Siciliano’s in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
