Creamy, toasty and fruity with vanilla and a beautiful light acidity from cherries and roasted grains, this stout will be both sumptuous and very approachable; the balance of fruit, milk sugars and vanilla will create a pleasing body that is fulsome but not too rich.

[33cl bottle from Beer52.] A glossy cola brown coloured pour with a tight cream head; fruity chocolate aroma; sour cherry taste with some sweet chocolate malts; then some well roasted malts giving a bitter finish.

Rocky light brown head stayed on a near black finely carbonated body. Malt, dark chocolate, dark spirits & cocoa aroma. Medium bodied, slightly prickly to the fore & followed quickly by a smooth creamy back. Lactose, berries, malt, demerara, cherry & vanilla tastes.

330ml bottle; BB 1st Oct 2019. Poured into a Thistle shaped 'Gordons' glass at home on 25th Jan 2019. Rudy body, short lived white head. malty molasses rule the nose and taste, semi-sweet throughout, little hop action for calmness, some cherry flavours within the make up, mild coffee traces too. Different and interesting.

Opaque brown beer, thin head. Smells of rich, malty coffee. Coffee, malt, dark chocolate and vanilla in the taste. Big, rich and smooth. This is rather splendid.
