$1.49 for a 12-oz single. Brown, no head. Just a ring of froth. Smells coppery, slightly malty. Plain. Flavor is overall plain, with hints of chocolate, molassas, and toast. Nothing special.

Courtesy of City Beverage in Winston-Salem. Pours a dark chestnut color with a ruby hue. Medium thin light tan head and lacing that leaves rings down the glass that would make a dendrochronologist smile. Nice nutty aroma, along with some malt. Medium-bodied with a nice roasty character and flavors of nuts, malt and hops. It falls off a little toward the end but this is still a nicely drinkable Brown. The finish is lightly bitter hops and on the dry side. Pretty good overall.
