Created by Ken Smith, Colorado. Ken describes his brew as having "a refreshing light taste and cereal crispness from the wheat malt." This unfiltered ale has a rich, fresh fruitiness balanced by a citrus note from the Noble hops.

Well its a scary style to approach and make palatable - Iβd say Ken Smith has done about as good a job as possible. The aroma is pure natural boysenberry, although occasionally it seemed somewhere between blueberry and raspberry. The fruit in the flavor was light, with a mild zesty malt backbone, and only slightly bitter finish. On the whole, the flavor and palate lacked much in the way of flavor and nuance. Its OK. Golden color with nice big foamy head.

Ken Smiths Long Shot Boysberry wheat! As soon I saw this, I grabbed it. I like wheats but donβt care for most fruit beers. Never saw this so as soon I my beer store got this variey pack in, I grabbed a bottle. Beautiful aroma once I pop the lid on this 12 oz bottle. Smells almost like sweet raspberry cider or lindimens frambrose. Color is not reddish nor blue but just your typical wheat tones with a look of cloudy apple cider. Flavor is not as sweet as I expected, the aroma is misleading. Has almost a pale ale impression perhaps even near a strong ale. The fruit in the background makes this tste like it is higher alky than it is. There is however a syrupy hint in the background. The finish leaves you hanging with a pleasant personality of fruityness in the background of a slight bitter linger. Even wheat cannot cover for the fact this is a fruit beer. Did not find hardly any citrus in this brew. Nice to taste but would not buy again. The aroma is the saver on this brew.
