With the help of British Airways cabin crew, BrewDog founders Martin Dickie and James Watt, started the brewing process of this limited run beer on board one of the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliners, while cruising 500mph over the north of Scotland.

The expert brewers mixed water, hops and barley in the onboard beverage makers to start the mashing part of the brewing process.

Cans of the bespoke IPA, named Speedbird 100 after the airline’s call sign, will be exclusively available to British Airways customers on board all long-haul and short-haul flights and in selected lounges from 1 May.

Can sourced from Brewdog Berlin Webshop and shared at home - clear amber pour with almost no head. Medium sweet fruity and malty, some non discript citrus fruit, caramel malts, light to medium body, resinous subdued bitter hoppy finish. A weird off note as well, might have a duff can here, not great.

Can from my EuroSanta. (Last Year). Pizmo tylko to czuje, chyba pierwszy raz cos takiego wyczuwam w piwie po ponad 5 tys ocenach. troche to intrygujace. zaciekawil mnie ten zapach, wacham i wacham nieustannie. Barwa bursztynowa. piana srenia srednio trwala, ale ladnie lepi sie do szkla. Smak jest jak haribo, cukierki, landrynki i kukulki, a przedewszystkim galka lodow smerfowych i gumy balonowej turbo. Przediwne piwo, jestem w oslupieniu. Na sam koniec posmak rozowych grejfrutow. Naprawde arcy ciekawe i estrowe piwo, szkoda tylko ze nie mam po nim ani kapsla ani etykiety, ach te aluminium.
