As a hop hearted woman, with a wee bit of hybris, we started with an icon, the modern classic hop Amarillo. Like us a whim of nature. Loaded with the hop oil myrecene, Amarillo is often described as s supercharged version of Cascade with citrus, orange and pine flavour and aromas.

Tap@Waza Restaurang & Bryggeri, Stockholm. Pours clear dark amber with medium white head. Aroma is spruce, pine and hints of lavender. Taste is medium sweet, light to medium bitter and faint acidic. Body is oily with fizzy carbonation. Finish is medium long and balanced sweet and bitter with notes of sugar, fresh orange juice and pine. A bit too perfumed and high ABV.

Appearance: Hazy golden colour with a white head.
Aroma: Fruit, malt, hops, citrus, grass.
Body: Medium body and carbonation.
Flavour: Malt, fruit, citrus.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm, 24 May 2019) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grass and grainy malt. Fruity, hoppy taste with citrus, peaches, grass, grainy malt and a balanced citric bitterness. More than medium body, with a slight sweetness. A bit shy for an IPA, but quite tasty. Quite nice.

Can from Systembolaget Vaxholm. Pours gold. Tastes sweetish, tropical fruits. Low bitterness. Ok.

Can from Systembolaget. Hazy golden/yellow with a white head. Aroma and taste of hops, grass, fruit and some bread. The body was medium as was the bitterness.

Brandgul disig med krämig smutsvit skumpuck. Doftar fruktigt av persika och aprikos och något jästig. Udda i smaken. Först citrus och en lite dank och nästan funkig ton, viss kakighet, sen i eftersmaken en distinkt ton av bränt korn som blir lite udda. Ska inte säga att det är outright dåligt eller smakar illa, men oklart.

440ml Can - Hazy amber in colour. Pine, mango and orange in the aroma. Hoppy taste with pine, orange and mango detected.
