Aromas and flavors are kind of a cross between traditional European saison and Bavarian hefeweitzen. Bittersweet with some yeasty astringency, cloves and bananas.

Nice stuff. Easy going, soft and creamy. Aroma is fruity but taste more dry. But some fruit there too. Very easy drinking. Gets even better as you go on. Cheers Will!

Bottle from Holiday Market. Pours a clearish gold with a full 3 fingers of foam that lingers then dissipates. Big floral nose with peppercorn, clove, banana esters and leafy green aromas. Bone dry on the palate...maybe a touch astringent in places. More clove floral notes. Lingering peppercorn on the finish. Quite a nice Michigan saison.

375 mL bottle from Corks & Caps, 7/30/19. Hazy orange tinted yellow, thin fizzy white head, good retention. Aroma of lemon, apricot, funk. Taste is funky lemon, candied lemon, apricot, pale malt. Medium bodied, high carb, dry. A little weird but decent.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, 2019 vintage. Pours slightly hazy pale golden yellow color with a 2-3 finger fairly foamy and fluffy white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a large amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big lemon, lime, orange, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red apple, white grape/wine, coriander, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of banana, bubblegum, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big lemon, lime, orange, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red apple, white grape/wine, coriander, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, and lightly toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of banana, bubblegum, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness; herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; and light wheat tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of lemon, lime, orange, citrus peel/zest, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red apple, white grape/wine, coriander, peppercorn, clove, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, banana, bubblegum, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with an awesome malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no astringent flavors after the finish. Moderately crisp/clean finishing. Moderate increasing dryness from bitter/spiciness and carbonation. High carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Overall this is a fantastic saison. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, pale/wheat malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and pretty refreshing to drink with the moderately bitter/spicy/drying finish. Nicely soft feel for the style. Amazingly well rounded classic Saison yeast complexity; with a great clean pale/wheat malt backbone, and nice earthy hop presence. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp drying. A highly enjoyable offering, and spot on classic tasting style example. Reminds me of Saison Dupont a lot.
