Hazy deep amber colour, huge lasting frothy beige head, heavy lacing. Aroma toasted malt, red fruit, black currant, light caramel. Flavour malty, grainy, fruity, yeasty. Malty sweetbitter finish, earthy notes, nice, well-balanced red ale.

330ml bottle. Clear, chestnut colour with ruby glimmer and average to huge, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity hoppy and toast ymalty aroma, notes of red berries, minimally chocolately and bready, malty undertones. Taste is toasty malty, slightly chocolately and nutty, bitter, slightly fruity and minimally leafy hoppy overtones, hints of red berries, a touch of tobacco. Harmonious, balanced - nice.

Bottle @ Højbjerg tasting 27 July. Pours clear dark amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of fruit and flowers, with notes of malt and caramel. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of malt, yeast and fruit, and hints of flowers. Bitter and estery aftertaste. Okay but a little watery.

27/7/2018. Bottle shared at John's. Pours dark amber brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, chocolate, citrus, hops and fruit cake. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation. Quite nice.

Bottle @ Saxo tasting. Clear brown with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and caramel. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Sweet and light bitter finish. 270718

Bottled, from Wine Rack, Stewartstown. Clear copper red, mid sized head. Toasty nose. Dry with light-medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Toasty and grassy. Mid bitter finish. Harmonious and drinkable.

Bottle from the Vineyard, Belfast. Appearance - hazy amber to brown. Decent head. Nose - redcurrants and light toffee. Taste - more of the same. Well balanced. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet crunchy texture. Dry finish. Overall - good.
