Linden flower honey and blackcurrant berry juice give this sweet Lithuanian mead an intense ruby color and a strong blackcurrant aroma. The rich full flavor with tannins forms a perfectly balanced mead.

Pours a very dark garnet. Scent is fruity, but not as loud as the raspberry version. Honey seems a bit lost. Taste is full, sweet, honey funk (glad to see some balance) , loads of fruityness, especially contributing an acidity that works very well. Gentle yet powerfull. Not as masterfully made as some of the US based meaderies, but this is definately US style, and definately not a failure.
