Peppermint, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Black with small brown head. Lightly sweet peppermint, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay flavor. Good body. Aroma much more intense than the flavor.

473ml can. Pours a clear dark brown with red hue and a medium, creamy, long lasting, tan head that laces nicely. Sweet aroma of peppermint and milk chocolate. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, peppermint, caramel, lactose and earth in a dry, mild bitter coffee finish. Medium body with a thin, sticky texture and average carbonation. Not bad. Flavourful and easy to drink.

16 ounce can into pint glass, best before 6/6/2020. Pours slightly hazy very dark reddish brown color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky tan head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a large cap that lasts. Thick foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, peppermint, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coffee, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of dark/roast/black/bready malts, peppermint, lactose, cocoa nibs, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of big milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, peppermint, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, and brown bread/crust; with lighter notes of coffee, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness. Light herbal, woody, grassy, peppery, roast, charred bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of milk/dark chocolate, cocoa, peppermint, caramel, brown sugar, roasted nuts, toasted biscuit, brown bread/crust, coffee, dark fruit, smoke, char, herbal, wood, grass, pepper, and yeast/roast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/black/bready malts, peppermint, lactose, cocoa nibs, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with an awesome roast/hop bitter/sweet balance, and no cloying/acrid/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering hop/char bitterness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready, and fairly sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.2%. Increasing peppermint cooling after the finish. Overall this is an awesome flavored milk stout. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/black/bready malts, peppermint, lactose, cocoa nibs, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Great soft feel, very flavorful for the ABV. Awesome balance of nicely rich malts, authentic cooling mint, lactose, and cocoa nib flavors; with solid earthy hops and mild fruity yeast. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example. Plenty of peppermint, without being overwhelming to the base stout. Really big fan.
