Pours orange-gold with a small white head. The aroma is of ginger, lime, and hops. The flavor has ginger and lime and a significant dose of bitter hops that honestly I don't think goes too well with the lime and ginger, and I love hoppy beers. Overall the beer is okay but doesn't work really well for me.

Sampled on draft this beer poured an orange color with a medium sized soapy white head that left minimal lacing. The aroma was sweet and tangy with sugar, grain, spice and definite mule element. The flavor was sweetish and tangy with a bit of graininess, spice and a mule presence. Medium length finish. Medium body.

12 ounce bottle into signature pint glass, best before 9/23/2019. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden amber color with a 1-2 finger dense, creamy, and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big lightly tart/tangy lime, citrus peel/zest, ginger, lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, mango, melon, apricot, passion fruit, red apple, wood, light peppercorn/pine, cracker, spicy rye, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of lime peel, ginger, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and pale/rye malt notes; with big strength. Taste of big lightly tart/tangy lime, citrus peel/zest, ginger, lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, mango, melon, apricot, passion fruit, red apple, wood, light peppercorn/pine, cracker, spicy rye, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness; and peppery ginger/rye spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of lime, citrus peel/zest, ginger, lemon, orange, grapefruit, peach, pear, mango, melon, apricot, passion fruit, red apple, wood, light peppercorn/pine, cracker, spicy rye, toasted biscuit, light honey, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of lime peel, ginger, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and pale/rye malt flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance; and no astringent hop/spice flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp/clean finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and rye/ginger spiciness. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/bready/grainy/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol for 6.5%. Slight lingering ginger heat through the glass. Overall this is an awesome spiced pale ale. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of lime peel, ginger, citrus/fruity/earthy hops, and pale/rye malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/clean/refreshing to drink with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish; great soft feel. Nice Citra/Willamette profile. Awesome balance between vibrant lime peel, ginger, and citrus/fruity/earthy hops; with a great clean bready pale/rye malt backbone. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp drying. A really enjoyable offering, and impressive spot on style example as expected of the brewery. Not overwhelming on any aspect.
