12 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 5/2019. Pours very hazy medium golden yellow color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with poor retention, that reduces to nothing very quicky. No glass lacing, some clinging bubbles, and streaming carbonation. Aromas of big juicy/sour/tart/tangy kiwis, cucumber, fruit skin/seed, jalapeno, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, mango, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of kiwi, cucumber, jalapeno, fruity/acidic yeast, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of huge juicy/sour/tart/tangy kiwis, cucumber, fruit skin/seed, jalapeno, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, mango, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang, and light pepper spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of sour/tart/tangy kiwis, cucumber, fruit skin/seed, jalapeno, lemon, lime, orange, peach, pear, apricot, mango, melon, red/green apple, white grape/wine, hay, straw, grass, wheat, cracker, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of kiwi, cucumber, jalapeno, fruity/acidic yeast, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with a fantastic malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with zero puckering flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/acidic/tangy, and lightly sticky balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Zero warming alcohol for 7.5%, with minimal lingering pepper heat after the finish. Overall this is an outstanding fruited/spiced kettle sour. All around awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of kiwi, cucumber, jalapeno, fruity/acidic yeast, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and fairly crisp/refreshing to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/drying finish; not overly lactic. Awesome balance of juicy fruits, peppers, and Brett/Lacto complexity; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness with crisp acidic/tangy dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and outstanding style example. Not overwhelming on peppers, just the right amount to be noticeable/flavorful.
