This new beer style is a Belgian-style Pentuple! It's just like a Trippel that's somewhat hoppy, light in color, and has its signature fruity and complex character. But our Pentuple is super-charged for more flavor, and ultimately more enjoyment!

Unrelenting in its sweetness, with a thick, gooey rush of toffee, dried fruit, cane syrup, caramel, and yeast, followed by a vanilla-tinged oak bitterness failing miserably to shore up the cloying back end. Thick, syrupy feel is understandable, as is the wicked heat, but nothing here makes me want to finish the bottle. Interesting as a taster, hell as a pint.

Bottle from Tavour. Dark amber, patchy head. Aroma comes in leathery, sweet, fruity, grapes. Taste is sweet, pit fruit, burn, sugary, sticky. Potent? Oh yeah, and then some... Smooth, for a big beer

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled in 4/2019. Pours fairly crystal clear deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1 finger dense and rocky light khaki head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Thick soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of huge golden raisin, lemon, orange, peach, plum, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, clove, honey, candi sugar, cracker, white bread dough, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of banana, bubblegum, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Slight increasing booze in the aromas as it warms, but not overwhelming. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of fruity/spicy yeast, candi sugar, bready malts, and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with big strength. Taste of huge golden raisin, lemon, orange, peach, plum, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, clove, honey, candi sugar, cracker, white bread dough, and toasted biscuit; with lighter notes of banana, bubblegum, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate peppery yeast spiciness; and herbal, floral, woody, grassy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of golden raisin, lemon, orange, peach, plum, pear, apricot, melon, red apple, white grape, peppercorn, clove, honey, candi sugar, cracker, white bread dough, toasted biscuit, banana, bubblegum, herbal, floral, wood, grass, and yeast/toasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, candi sugar, bready malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a fantastic malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and no cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Fairly crisp finishing. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering bitter/spiciness. Medium carbonation and medium-full body; with a very smooth, creamy/bready/sticky, and lightly slick balanced mouthfeel that is fantastic. Light increasing warmth of 15.4%, with mild lingering booziness after the finish. Overall this an incredible huge tripel style. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/spicy yeast, candi sugar, bready malts, and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth and dangerously easy to sip on for the huge ABV; with the mellowly bitter/spicy/drying finish. Amazing balance of classic Belgian Trappist yeast complexity, candi sugar, and pale malts; with nice earthy hop presence/balance. Light residual sweetness with lingering crisp dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example considering the ABV. Tastes spot on to a tripel/pale quad style.
