16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 5/2019. Pours very hazy deep golden amber/light orange color with a small dense and creamy off white head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tart/sour lemons, limes, citrus peel/zest, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, tequila, oak, hay, straw, grass, honey, agave, wheat, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of lemon, lime, fruity/acidic yeast, salt, tequila barrels, and pale/wheat malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/sour lemons, limes, citrus peel/zest, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, tequila, oak, hay, straw, grass, honey, agave, wheat, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light-moderate fruity/lactic tart/sourness, fruit tang; and light tequila/oak spiciness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/sour lemons, limes, citrus peel/zest, orange, peach, pear, melon, apricot, red/green apple, white grape/wine, sea salt, tequila, oak, hay, straw, grass, honey, agave, wheat, white bread dough, light peppercorn/lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of lemon, lime, fruity/acidic yeast, salt, tequila barrels, and pale/wheat malt flavors; with an awesome malt/tart/sourness and tangy fruit balance; with minimal puckering flavors after the finish. Light-moderate increasing dryness from lingering tart/sourness and tangy fruit. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/grainy, fairly acidic/tangy, and lightly tannic/saline mouthfeel that is great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6%. Overall this is a fantastic barrel aged fruited gose. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of lemon, lime, fruity/acidic yeast, salt, tequila barrels, and pale/wheat malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the modestly acidic/tangy/drying finish; not overly lactic/salty. Amazing balance of juicy/vibrant lemon/limes, Lacto complexity, and tequila barrel presence/integration; with a great pale/wheat malt backbone against acidity. Minimal residual sweetness from lingering acidic dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing experimental style example. Spot on for the base style. Tastes just like a margarita as intended.
