DDH sour double NEIPA brewed with Pilsner, oats, lactose, and double dry hopped with Citra / Cryo Mosaic and Simcoe hops. Very mild tartness and almost zero bitterness. Aroma smells like straight up OJ and grapefruit. Flavor is smooth, dreamy and wonderfully nuanced, darting back and forth across teh line between sour and hop.

16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned in 12/2018. Pours very hazy deep golden/orange/amber color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy off white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of big tart/tangy tangerine, orange juice, lemon, lime, red grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, vanilla, cream, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, herbal, floral, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/light earthy hops, fruity/acidic yeast, lactose, and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tart/tangy tangerine, orange juice, lemon, lime, red grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, vanilla, cream, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, herbal, floral, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/zest, herbal, floral, grassy, peppery bitterness; and lactic tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of tart/tangy tangerine, orange juice, lemon, lime, red grapefruit, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, honeydew melon, guava, blueberry, gooseberry, red/green apple, white grape/wine, citrus peel/zest, light pepper/pine, vanilla, cream, cracker, white bread dough, biscuit, light honey/toast, herbal, floral, grass, light lacto funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/light earthy hops, fruity/acidic yeast, lactose, and bready malt flavors; with and awesome malt/bitterness, and tart/tangy balance; with no puckering/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness and tart/tangy lacto. Medium-plus carbonation and body; with a very smooth, creamy/silky/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/acidic/tangy mouthfeel that is fantastic. Minimal warming alcohol for 8%. Overall this is a fantastic sour NEDIPA. All around fantastic complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/light earthy hops, fruity/acidic yeast, lactose, and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink for the ABV, with the mellowly bitter/acidic/tangy/drying finish. Fantastic soft feel, not overly bitter/lactic. Amazing Citra, Mosaic, Simcoe profile. Perfectly balanced between super juicy hops, lacto complexity, and light dank/earthy notes; with an awesome balanced lactose and oat/malt backbone. Light residual sweetness with lingering dryness. A highly enjoyable offering, and amazing style example. Perfectly balanced between NEIPA/Sour ale complexity.
